A Brixton market is not the first place you'd expect an art exhibition.
Arts charity ASC Studios invited arts collective Loss Of Feeling And/Or Sensation to take over a series of empty shop units within the Brixton Village indoor market. They went one further and put on a week long artfest entitled Soup Of The Day (named after a sign used to prop open the door in the early project meetings). From the outset we were in charge of the event branding and identity.
We started with a series of posters that were part of an ongoing viral campaign with new posters posted weekly. The first set of posters were a mysterious blurred image; as subsequent posters were put up the image came into focus, eventually revealing the show's details.
As the project progressed the brief expanded to encompass flyers, posters, video titles, signage, maps, a website and even window vinyl installation! Phew! More images can be found on the website.
